About the Artist
CJ (Cortnea John) Kale
CJ Kale was raised in Hawaii on the Waianae coast of Oahu. Always having a love for the outdoors and ocean he spent his days sailing and later did a tour in the US Navy. After retuning home from the Navy he became a boat captain and a dive master; all the while capturing the beauty of the islands that he so loves on film, pursuing his passion for photography. It is this merger of experience in the islands, love for the islands and her people, and his passion, which is expressed in his photographic masterpieces.
CJ Kale now resides on the Big island of Hawaii and still strives everyday to capture Hawaii in all her splendor. From atop Hawaii’s majestic mountains, to the depths of her deep blue sea , to the breath-taking magnificence of madam Pele’s spectacular displays, CJ Kale will be there to bring these exciting views to the rest of the world.
